Engineering Robotic Course
In this course, students will be introduced to the metal based robotics kit - Tetrix. Students will learn the important design parameters using CREO as a CAD tool and eventually learn to code their robot using Android Studio as well as FIRST blocks programming language. Students will also learn about the basics of control system of any electronics / robotic device and assemble their own control system to get their robot in action. With all safety gears in place, students will learn to operate power tools like drill and dremel along with dot punch and hacksaw. Eventually, students will build various mechanisms like flywheel, roller wheel, etc. and build robot chassis on omni wheel as well as mecanum. They will also understand how vision processing works and write their own code for vision processing based on the task given. Once they are thorough with these learnings, they will crack one of the FIRST Tech Challenge robot game of the past season. This course will act as a strong base builder for international robotics competitions like FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition.
